BAE Systems & the FRES SV Supply Chain

BAE Systems and Northern Defence Industries (NDI)

BAE Systems and Northern Defence Industries (NDI)

Held an industry day on supply chain opportunities within the FRES SV programme on 25/01/10.

UK content on our FRES Scout vehicle will be greater than 70 per cent - which represents hundreds of millions of pounds to the UK economy. And further overseas sales of CV90 and FRES technology to countries such as Canada, Australia, France and Poland will boost that figure still further. If successful, our FRES and Warrior bids represent a long-term future for the UK industrial base and for export - good for the economy and good for continuing support to the front line.

Furthermore, existing UK skills and resource and are retained within the UK for vehicle support, upgrade and responses to Urgent Operational Requirements, with no need to create from scratch. The UK will have a vital domestic industrial base to secure UK sovereignty, rather than being dependent on US suppliers.

BAE Systems is fully compliant with requirements to access our intellectual property. We will provide 100% offset of any foreign content on FRES SV vehicles.
