To boast defnce capability 643 Warrior battle tanks are to be upgraded under the Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme. 449 will receive a new turret and weapon system under WFLIP (Warrior Fightability and Lethality Improvement Programme).
All will get an enhanced electronic architecture (WEEA) and a modularised armour system (WMPS). The other variants include repair and recovery and command post.
We have 30 years’ experience in design and support of Warrior and have delivered more than 50 UORs on it, so we understand the vehicle as a complete system and can take a holistic view of modifications.
We selected an all-new Warrior turret canon design to optimise fightability and crew protection, and to cope with the bigger recoil forces of the new cannon, rather than modifying the existing design. Our solution will maximise the Infantry’s ability to carry the fight to the enemy.
