Building on the past; building for the future
The Global Tactical Vehicle builds on an established base of over 56,000 vehicles in service with the US Armed Forces and their allies. These vehicles provide the backbone for tactical mobility and logistics support throughout the battlefield and have established a strong reputation for reliability and low operating cost.
The Global Tactical Vehicle shares a significant commonality with the FMTV installed base, including the most recent standard Long Term Armour Solution (LTAS) cab. It is powered by a Cummins diesel engine incorporating the latest Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) emissions technology.
Designed to run on ultra-low sulphur fuel, the Global Tactical Vehicle can be reconfigured to accept the high-sulphur fuels commonly available in combat theatres. In addition, it is designed to accept modifications required to meet current international safety legislation. Examples include: lighting, seats, seat restraints, glass and mirrors.
