BAE SYSTEMS signs TMSS agreement with slandsflug

18 Dec 2001

BAE Systems Aviation Services, Filton, UK, has signed a TMSS (Total Maintenance Support Solutions) agreement with slandsflug HF of Reykjavk, Iceland.

The agreement includes provision of Technical Services and Component Support for an A310-304F Freighter aircraft.

slandsflug will operate the aircraft on a charter basis from various locations as demand dictates. The flexible nature of the TMSS service delivery provides the perfect solution for this type of operation and allows slandsflug to concentrate on the operation of the aircraft whilst TMSS manages the in service technical and component support.

BAE Systems Aviation Services developed the TMSS service initially to provide total support to operators of Airbus aircraft but the service has now been extended to include Boeing aircraft.

TMSS is essentially a management integration service that utilises industry resources to deliver a truly efficient and cost effective method of in service support to airlines.

BAE Systems Aviation Services has become the world's largest provider of Airbus A300B4 freighter conversions, having recently redelivered the 39th conversion. Development of the A300-600 conversion continues, with programme launch expected in early 2002.
